Tasmania Police Selects NicheRMS™ to Replace Existing Legacy Systems

TASMANIA, AUSTRALIA – Following an extensive procurement process during 2017/18, Tasmania Police selected NicheRMS™ for the Force’s integrated operational policing information system. NicheRMS was thoroughly tested and proven, and was evaluated as the most suitable solution to meet future needs of the Force.

While Tasmania Police will use NicheRMS to replace ageing core data management systems during the first phase, the system will ultimately offer single source functionality across the core policing activities of:

• Crime management

• General incident management

• Custody/prisoner management

• Intelligence management

• Property management

• Court case preparation

“This represents a significant step forward for Tasmania Police, and will ultimately result in a safer working environment for police, and better outcomes for our communities,” said Commander Mark Mewis, Tasmania Police Program Director. “The new integrated system will provide a better, more connected policing intelligence picture, and collaboration with our partners is already delivering benefits to project outcomes and the agency more broadly.”
