The Regional Criminal Justice Records Management System Consortium in Colorado Selects Niche Technology to Provide a Regional Records Management System (RMS) Solution

LAKEWOOD, CO: Niche Technology, the provider of police Records Management Systems (RMS) for more than 100 police agencies, including 10 of the 30 largest agencies in the English-speaking world, has been selected by the Regional Criminal Justice Records Management System Consortium (RMSC) to provide a regional Records Management System (RMS) solution with NicheRMS.

The RMSC is comprised of police agencies from neighboring towns in central Colorado: Arvada, Edgewater, Golden, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge and the Town of Mountain View. These police agencies will use Niche RMS to seamlessly manage several key aspects of their policing duties, such as incidents, arrests, case files, property, mobile information management, crash forms and citations.

Hosted by Lakewood Police, the commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) NicheRMS system allows for joint data sharing between approximately 600 officers and staff from the RMSC. The Consortium’s ability to instantly access and exchange information will result in more efficient policing, as well as increasing officer safety by providing them crucial data as they respond to calls, such as vehicle descriptions, potentially dangerous suspects or criminal networks.
