Thames Valley Police Awards Commendation to Niche Technology for High Quality of Service

THAMES VALLEY, UK: Niche Technology, Inc., the leading provider of police Records Management Systems (RMS) for more than 100 police agencies, including 10 of the 30 largest agencies in the English-speaking world, has been given a commendation by Thames Valley Police in recognition of the high quality of service Niche provided during the Force’s Project Link Implementation.

Thames Valley Police Assistant Chief Constable John Campbell declared,”Niche are commended for their work in contributing to the successful delivery of the Occurrence, Intelligence and Missing Persons modules of Niche RMS. Following the implementation of Case and Custody, Niche provided excellent support to the programme to incorporate the new functionality, ensuring that the design of the system fitted across all business areas. Their contribution is an outstanding example of supporting the Force’s value of ‘Taking Pride in delivering a high quality service and keeping our promises.’”

In 2011, Thames Valley Police implemented Niche RMS to deliver their Custody and Case Preparation functionality. In 2014, this was extended as the Force deployed the integrated Niche Crime, Intelligence, Missing Persons and General Incident modules; taking advantage of the opportunity to decommission a number of legacy systems across the force.

Using Niche RMS helps Thames Valley Police accomplish their strategic objectives to reduce crime, increase police presence, protect their communities, improve communication with the public, tackle bureaucracy, reduce costs and protect the front line.
