Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) to Demonstrate How the Niche RMS Aided Their Police Analytics Unit at HRPS During the 39th National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Annual Training and Exhibition

INDIANAPOLIS, IN: Niche Technology, the leading provider of police Records Management Systems (RMS) for more than 100 police agencies, including 10 of the 30 largest agencies in the English-speaking world, is being featured as a key tool contributing to the success of the Police Analytics Unit of the Halton Regional Police Service.

At the 39th National Organization of Black Law Enforcement (NOBLE) Annual Training Conference and Exhibition, Staff Sergeant Derek Davis of HRPS will be presenting on the Police Analytics Unit that was formed in 2014 by the HRPS to exploit existing data assets within the organization and develop analytical products to make the Service more efficient and effective.

A Niche RMS customer since 2004, Staff Sergeant Davis will discuss how their Service was able to leverage the data stored in the Niche RMS system to develop reports and tools to deliver information to officers in an on-demand, real-time manner across desktop and mobile devices.

He will also discuss his vision for police analytics as a third kind of law enforcement analysis that supports data-driven decision making through novel uses of existing infrastructure and data assets. Staff Sergeant Davis will also advise how other Services can adopt Police Analytics to enhance their organizations.

With more than 1,000 sworn and civilian members, the mission of the Halton Regional Police Service is “to provide effective and efficient community-based policing.”

The 39th NOBLE Annual Training Conference and Exhibition occurs July 11th through July 15th in Indianapolis, Indiana.
