OLATHE, KANSAS – The Johnson County Regional Interagency Operating Network (JCRION) is a regional cooperative of 15 police departments and District Attorney’s Office that have decided to work together as one in their mission to drive crime down county-wide. Niche Technology’s Records Management System (NicheRMS) is the high-tech tool they are using to coordinate investigations and solve crimes.
With NicheRMS, the agencies of JCRION have a single, integrated platform to reliably and quickly handle the consortium’s operational policing data in real time.
In addition, JCRION officers and staff will be able to use the electronic workflows to better manage workload and assign officers where they are needed most.
“This implementation of NICHE is extremely important to the JCRION consortium as all of Johnson County agencies will be able to share critical information about police incidents in real time, as well as streamline the Jail Booking and District Attorney Submission processes,” said Tim Mulcahy, Director of JCRION. “NICHE will be a critical tool among agencies going forward and a platform we can build upon to share information, standardize system interfaces and information flows with external entities, including the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and other entities. We are very thankful to all the agencies for their assistance and work in moving toward the NICHE system.”
NicheRMS enables law enforcement agencies to report, prevent and solve crime. “We’re turning in detection rates we could only dream of before having NicheRMS,” said Chief Constable Peter Vaughan, QPM, South Wales Police, UK. NicheRMS is licensed to more than 143,000 sworn officers across Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Eleven of the largest 30 agencies run NicheRMS in the countries we serve.
